Seamless vs Sectional Gutters: What's the Difference?

Seamless gutters are formed on site from aluminum coil into one continuous piece per run, with joints only at corners and downspout outlets. Sectional gutters use pre-cut pieces, usually 10 feet long, joined along the run. Every added seam is a possible leak point as sealant ages. We install seamless aluminum from $7 per linear foot.

One continuous piece for each run

Our gutter machine forms the aluminum coil on site. Each gutter run is made as one continuous piece to fit the roofline. Corners and downspout outlets still have joints that need sealing.

Sectional gutters are sold in pre-cut pieces at home improvement stores. Joining those pieces adds seams along the roofline, and every seam is a possible leak point as its sealant ages.

    Sizes, pricing and warranty

We install seamless aluminum in 5, 6 and 7 inch sizes. Standard seamless aluminum starts at $7 per linear foot installed; the 7-inch size is quoted per project.

The 7-inch size is for tile and metal roofs whose edge extends past the fascia. We look at the roof edge to confirm the size.

Every new installation includes a 2-year workmanship warranty and a 20-year manufacturer's limited material warranty. Terms and exclusions apply.
